Our family had the opportunity to visit St. Augustine Alligator Farm this past week and it was INCREDIBLE!
I knew we would enjoy it because we love the outdoors but it honestly exceeded our expectations!
The size of the zoo was perfect we were able to catch some of the shows and explore the entire park with our 2 & 4 year old! They had a blast the entire time and they also enjoyed the Kids Zone Play Area. They not only had alligators and crocodiles (although that was the main attraction) they also had exotic birds, lemurs, snakes, Komodo dragons just to name a few.
Something I loved is that we were able to buy 2 souvenir cups one was only $4.49 and the larger one was only $6.49 and it included unlimited refills! The Toucan Tina Snack Bar is located in the center so it was very convenient to go and refill our cups as needed. Dad loved that they had Draft Beer available as well! The prices for food were very reasonable (you can check out the full menu here: http://www.alligatorfarm.com/ToucantinaMenu.pdf
I loved reading the history in our park map sharing that the Alligator Farm was founded in 1893! I am slightly obsessed with learning about history hands on the way we do now (because Lord knows I was not a fan of history while I was in school lol).
Another fun fact I learned is that it is the only facility in the world that has all 24 currently recognized species of crocodilian.
The Alligator Farm also has a zip lining adventure called Crocodile Crossing. You can check this out for a small fee and you are able to zip line the entire park and see a whole different view of all of the animals. I definitely want to head back to try this out!
If you are in the St Augustine area we all highly recommend checking out The Alligator Farm! I am sure you will NOT BE disappointed!
