Marquette Tourist Park Campground Review

We had the honor of staying here in exchange for an honest review and we ended up paying for an extra night on the day we were checking out because we loved it so much!  Chuck made our check in process super easy and quick he was very helpful since he knew it was our first time in the area.

We stayed here in our 44’ fifth wheel and didn’t have too much trouble getting into our spot (we were parked in site #66).  We had a full hook up site (30 amp) and although our sewer was way back we managed to make it work with 3 of our 10’ sewer hoses attached together).

This parks location is PERFECT! It is not right in the city but close enough to tons of stores and downtown Marquette.  Something we loved was that we had direct access to bike paths so we didn’t really have to drive to go do some sightseeing!  Now we are researching mountain bikes because you better believe we want to start riding these trails as we continue to explore!

The park has firewood and ice available for purchase at the front which is super convenient.  We did not personally use the bath houses but I did include a video showing the inside of one of the bath houses.  I really really really loved the beautiful trees and the shade we had at our site!

The park has a playground which was a bit outdated but I know my kids would’ve enjoyed it we just didn’t have a chance to use it because we were too busy chasing waterfalls and being super adventurous! They also have a beach which we were able to witness incredible sunsets at without driving anywhere!

This place is great whether you are in a tent, fifth wheel, class a, class c, van, etc… Literally there is an accommodation for you! They have a variety of sites I am sure you will find one to fit what you need!

Something I was super surprised by was the speed of the FREE wifi! YES FREE wifi! I couldn’t believe how fast it was! It allowed my to catch up on some work because with our full time travels sometimes our internet is not always very reliable (#RVlife lol).

We will be back and we highly recommend checking this park out during your stay in the Upper Peninsula!

You can click this link to keep up with when the park is open again for the season: http://www.marquettemi.gov/departments/community-services/parks-and-recreation/tourist-park/

Make sure you check out our video https://youtu.be/McRV1bH1PkU showing you the park itself.  Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel to not miss any of our reviews as we continue exploring the country in our fifth wheel as a family!

TTYS!

Wow what a lovely sounding place to stay and free FAST wifi? You can’t even get that in many hotels over here. I would love to get back out into the wild and camp somewhere like this.

It is quite the feeling of total freedom! Our purpose is to inspire others to do what we do if thats what they too want. If we can do it anyone can! We also coach and help people make their vision a reality!

Don’t get me wrong, I love to be pampered at resorts & spas. But I also adore camping! Sounds like Marquette needs to be on our travel bucket list.

That looks like such a great place to visit. When I was little we used to go camping with my grandparents. I loved the places we visited and look forward to the day when I can do this with my little ones.
