If you have ever considered writing an e-book but are not sure where to start, this blog post is for you!

I used to think that writing a book was an extremely complicated process! What I learned is that while it is does take work it is not as complicated as I once thought.  I have always wanted to write a book but when the thought came to mind I was completely overwhelmed on the process.

I managed to publish 2 e-books in less than 30 days and was able to get one of them up to top 100 in less than 2 weeks after being published.  Now I am upset that I didn’t try to tackle this sooner! I have not only learned so much in the last month but I have exceeded my expectations and feel even more powerful than ever before!

7 Easy Steps to Writing Your E-Book:

  1. After choosing your topic write an outline (keep in mind this is not set in stone its your guideline to start)
  2. Write your e-book on Word, Google Docs, Pages or your Notes section on your iPad or phone
  3. Edit and proof read VERY carefully!
  4. Convert the word document into e-book format
  5. Set up a KDP Kindle Account on Amazon
  6. Upload your manuscript and book cover
  7. Set your price and Publish

I personally spent hours and sleepless nights going to bed at 5 AM and waking up to tend to my one year old in the morning because there was so much information out there and lots of it was outdated so I had lots of information to decipher through to figure out what I could use.  The entire time of creating and publishing I couldn’t find a course where it had everything from choosing my topic all the way to marketing and getting our books to #1 and I honestly would’ve paid hundreds for to save me some time and allow me some extra sleep! Lol

My entire learning experience with writing our e-books and publishing them helped create my E-book Crash Course to help anyone that is a newbie and totally overwhelmed on where to begin.

If you know anyone looking to self publish their own book within 30 days I will walk them by the hand through this Crash Course.  The course is broken down into a new Lesson each week where I walk you through every single step needed from choosing your topic to marketing the book.  I will even go through our secrets to getting in the top 100 in 2 different Amazon categories in less than 2 weeks! I am extremely excited about this online course and I know that every student will benefit and find TONS of value!

These are great tips, I have written a few eBooks and I am about to tackle one book in about 5 days. I will literally shut myself off to the world and try to do it in 5 days. I have already tested my audience and I have an email list of about 75 people that are sorely interested in the book. Can’t wait to get it out.

One day I will write a book and publish it. I’ve subscribed and gone through lots of courses to self publish, but I never seem to find the time to write for it! Once the kids get into school, this is going to have to be one of my goals! Thanks for making it look so easy!

yes go for it! I have a one year old and a 4 year old which I am with 24/7 because I work from the road with my family. I used the times they were sleeping to work so I definitely had a lot of sleepless nights but totally worth it!! Go for it!

yes girl it is super awesome that we can self publish but I really emphasize the whole marketing and editing of the book because these are two huge keys besides the writing of the book! About 7,000 words so it’s a great quick read which we have received great feedback since people are able to read them in less than an hour.

Congratulations on publishing your ebook and getting it into the top 100, that’s fantastic! What’s even better is going on to create a course to help others go through the process of writing and publishing their own ebooks. I have to believe there is a huge market for this kind of course.

Oh my gosh, I literally was just searching for this exact thing! I’ve been trying to think about what I would do for my first ebook and I know it has to do with food since that’s what my blog is about. I am going to finish my rough draft and then take this class!

I am personally writing a book for past couple of years, but always been fishy & slowed down as I was not sure how this can be made online. These steps are quiet useful & looks easy to do on your own and I hope to try this idea for sure!
